In this presentation, Nicola will discuss creativity and will specifically explore music making in early childhood. Delegates will be invited to consider pedagogical approaches to early childhood music practice and how these approaches may or may not encourage creativity. Nicola will share elements of Musical Development Matters in the Early Years and will demonstrate how delegates can support children’s musicality, creativity and development. The presentation will also introduce delegates to Tune into Listening, her award-winning free resource that shares research findings of an active listening action research project.
