The Personal Information We Collect. This Policy applies to all information collected by or submitted to www.globalchildhoodacademy.org or www.globalchildhoodacademy.com, or information provided to us through affiliates or partners for those who will be users on our platform. We consider “personal information” to mean information about an identifiable individual. As part of the registration process, and in order to use certain features of the Website, including enrolling in a course, you will need to create an account and will be asked to provide a variety of information including, but not limited to, your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and information about you such as date of birth, gender, race, ethnicity, photos, etc. We also collect billing information such as credit card numbers. You will be asked to provide a user name when you create an account. A user can create a free account on our platform, and choose to register in one of our courses. A user’s information will not be publicly available or viewable.

Course Information. When you take courses, data about your coursework, including but not limited to courses you enrolled in, courses you have purchased, assignments you have begun and/or completed, and your exchanges and communications with instructors and other students may be collected and retained. If you are an instructor, we may collect and store course content that may contain personally identifiable information.

Financial Information. Global Childhood Academy may require billing and payment information such as credit and debit card information when you create your account. IP Address. An IP (Internet Protocol) address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your internet service provider when you log on. Your IP address is not linked to your Personal Information but Global Childhood Academy does reserve the right to use IP addresses to identify individuals who threaten the Website or other users or visitors. IP addresses may also be used to help diagnose problems with the Website and to gather broad demographic information.

Third Party Applications. Some Users may connect with the Website or register on the Website using Facebook or Twitter. If you decide to connect your account to an external, third-party application, you will be granting Global Childhood Academy permission to receive information from such third-party applications.

When Users post course reviews, or photographs, or message one another, or otherwise upload or share content on the Website (“Content”), such Content may be publicly viewable depending upon where it is posted on the Website. Users are encouraged to share and post Content. However, Content cannot be deleted once you post it, provided, however, that if you post anything that Global Childhood Academy deems, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be inappropriate, Global Childhood Academy can delete such posts without your consent.

Use of Information

In General. We use the Personal Information your provide to us for the purpose of communicating with you and with your instructors and students/ as applicable, and for administering our Services, including but not limited to course enrollment, course participation, and course completion. Your Personal Information may also be used in the following ways:

We may also use your Personal Information to contact you via direct postal mail and/or electronically to the extent such activity is permitted by law. This information may also be used to help Global Childhood Academy and its commercial partners, and services providers deliver information to you, and for other purposes as are reasonably necessary to provide the services requested by you. You may opt-out of receiving future mailings or other messages from us by following the instructions in the e-mail or other message you receive from us or by following the instructions set forth in the Opting In and Opting Out of Electronic Communications section in this Policy.

Who We Share Your Personal Information With. Global Childhood Academy shares your information with partners, instructors of the course that you choose to enroll in.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Other Non-Affiliated Third Parties (Service Providers). In addition to the above disclosures, Global Childhood Academy may share your Personal Information, without restriction, with companies and organizations that we retain to perform services for us, such as those that provide data processing, computer software maintenance and development, and companies providing professional, legal or accounting advice to us. In such situations, Global Childhood Academy requires that these companies and organizations agree to (a) maintain the confidentiality of the Personal Information, and (b) limit the use of such Personal Information to the purposes for which it was provided. We will not sell, rent or market Personal Information collected on this Website to non-affiliated third parties for their marketing purposes, unless we have your consent. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary set forth in these Terms of Use, Global Childhood Academy may at  any time seek injunctive or other appropriate relief against you and/or against others, in any state or federal  court in the state of Massachusetts and/or in any other court chosen by Global Childhood Academy, in the  event that Global Childhood Academy believes that there is a violation, or a threatened violation, that has  jurisdiction of any of Global Childhood Academy’s intellectual property rights and, in such case, you hereby  consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such court.

Changes

Global Childhood Academy reserves the right to make changes to any of these terms. – Changes will be communicated to all users.
