How long for I have to complete this course?

• TDA 2.2: Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
• CL2A9: Importance of play for early learning.
• CL2A1: The value of play to young children.
• L2A2: Young children’s development.
• CFC 13: Sharing learning experiences with children.

Do I have to be working in a childcare center while taking this course? 

While enrolled in this course, you will be required to complete a set of tasks which three age groups that will help you gain specific set of skills. We strongly advise that you complete the following number of hours working with the following age ranges:

• Infants: Birth – 1 year 11 months: 25 hours.
• Toddlers: 2 – 2 years 11 months: 133 hours.
• Preschoolers: 3 – 5 years: 192 hours.

As practical evidence is required for all age groups in all units, we recommend that you complete the hours for all age groups throughout the duration of your course. This will ensure you are able to meet the practical evidence requirements to pass the qualification.

How will I be assessed in this course? 

In order to gain this qualification, the learner will need to:

• Pass all 23 units with all assessment tasks.
• Complete 1 longitudinal study.
• Show competence in a real work environment through direct observation, professional discussion, or expert witness testimony (within 12 months of enrolling in this course).

What are the Learning Outcome?

After completing this course learner will:

• Know how to safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
• Understand the importance of play within early learning.
• Understand the value of play to young children’s development and how the role of adult supports this.
• Understand the stages of development of young children from birth to three years by meeting their basic needs.
• Knowledge and understanding of types of learning experiences.

What is the Course validity?

Learning management system access is available for 120 days from the start date and the learner must complete all coursework, achieved 100%, and download the certificate before it expires.

What about Learning and assessments?

The training is held by a team of specialists in the learning management system. All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods which could include:

written assignments or tasks* such as designing a leaflet or booklet, charts or diagrams, or setting up an information board. The grading system for the qualification is Achieved or Not Achieved, all the assessment criteria for each unit must be achieved.

What about the Certificates?

Upon completion, the learner will be certified from NCFE CACHE, UK, and Arabian Child, UAE. Learner can apply for the accreditation for the qualification by Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) United Arab Emirates with an additional cost.
