Both research and practice suggest that it is much more effective to try to prevent problem behaviors from occurring in children with ASD than to react to the behaviors after they have happened. This presentation will present a toolbox of evidence-based strategies that can be used to effectively prevent a variety of challenging behaviors in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities.
