Course Title: Healthy Practices in Early Childhood Program

(This course is the 1st unit of the Introduction to Early Childhood Education and Care program)

This standalone unit unit can be taken independently or as a component of the larger introductory certification. It outlines the appropriate healthy practices that must be followed in early childhood centers. Learner will be prepared to implement health and hygiene in the learning environment to promote well-being and prevent illnesses.

1: Introduction

2: Promoting wellness

3: Responding to illness

4: Providing nutrition’s snacks and meals

5: Learning good health practices

Learning Outcomes

After completing this unit learner will understand how: 

1: To promote children’s wellbeing

2: Be proactive and look for ways to prevent illnesses instead of reacting to them 

3: If a child is sick, ensure that children get appropriate treatment 

4: To recommend immunization to parents (if appropriate) 

5: Monitor children’s health daily

6: Provide a clean and sanitized setting to reduce the spread of germs

Learning and assessments

To successfully pass this unit, you must complete the following:

1: Quiz: You will complete a quiz consisting of multiple-choice questions.

2: Workbook: You will also receive a workbook that includes written assignments, reflective activities.

Please note that you must achieve a minimum of 70% score to pass this unit.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will receive a E-Certificate from Arabian Child Education Consultants (UAE). Learner can also request accredited certificate by Knowledge and Human Development Authority UAE (KHDA) with an additional cost.
